3 days from now, it would have been exactly one year since I updated this journal. And I was planning on it. But now realizing that I have a dentist appointment and a video blog entry that day (and I'm supposed to hang out with Laura as well), and that the odds were such that I would completely forget. So why not 3 days early?

It's strange to think how much happens in one year. One year ago, 3 days from now, I was terrified out of my mind at the thought of how close to college I was. That year feels even longer than it was. I went to college and I loved it. I made new friends, most of which panned away but the ones that stayed are more than I could ever have expected. I found a love, of sorts, that was lost; but have found something I'd like to think even greater than I could have hoped to find. I found angels without wings, and sanctuaries and homes far from where I sit now; where there are seagulls but no harbor, no rain smelling of fish.

So many things have changed in such a relatively short amount of time; me, my friends, my homes, my world.

And now the countdown begins again - to the new year of school, and the next entry in this journal. Let's see what changes, here 'til then.
